Job summary

Barnwood Shopfitting Ltd is seeking an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor to support the Quantity Surveying team in managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. This role offers structured training and hands-on experience, providing a strong foundation in the quantity surveying profession.

The ideal candidate will assist in delivering projects on budget and contribute to contract management. Applicants should have minimum GCSEs in English and Mathematics, and strong IT skills, particularly in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quantity Surveying team in delivering projects within budgets.
• Assist in the placement and management of contracts.
• Support measurement, valuation, and cost control activities.
• Contribute to maintaining positive cash flow.

Skills

Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Good organizational and time management skills

Ability to build positive working relationships

Education

GCSEs: Minimum Grade 4 in English Language and Mathematics

A Levels: Minimum of two A Levels in any subject

BTEC Extended Diploma: Accepted

Access to HE Diploma: Must include 15 Level 3 credits at Merit
