Houses of Parliament Restoration & Renewal Programme invites applications for a Quantity Surveyor Apprentice on the Lords Temporary Accommodation (LTA) Project Team. This is a unique opportunity to begin a career in Quantity Surveying while working on a major UNESCO World Heritage site.

You will support cost planning, procurement, contract administration and commercial reporting as the project moves through design and delivery, with regular training and remote study sessions.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship role designed to develop quantity surveying skills from scratch.
• No prior quantity surveying experience required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
• Funding rules apply and one day per week is spent studying remotely.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cost planning, forecasting and budget monitoring.
• Support procurement activities, tender docs and supplier engagement.
• Assist contract administration, change control and reporting.
• Measure works from drawings and project information.
• Contribute to risk and opportunity management and attend meetings.
• Prepare reports and commercial documentation.
