We’re seeking a self-motivated and detail-drivenQuantity Surveyorto join our close-knit team. You’ll work directly with the directors and site teams, taking ownership of cost planning, procurement, and financial control across multiple residential projects.

SY Homes is a successful, award-winning and hugely ambitious family-run property development company based in Shrewsbury. We specialise in delivering high-end, bespoke new build developments across the region.

With an exciting pipeline of projects and a growing reputation for quality and innovation, we’re now looking to expand our commercial team.

This is a full-time role, predominantly office based, with site visits in and around Shrewsbury.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost estimation and budget management for new build developments

• Preparation of BOQs, tenders, and contracts

• Procurement of subcontractors and materials

• Regular site valuations, cost reporting, and cash flow forecasting

• Managing variations and ensuring project profitability

• Liaising with architects, site managers, and suppliers

• Supporting project delivery from initial feasibility to final account

What We’re Looking For

• Experience inresidential property development or housebuilding

• Strong understanding ofconstruction contracts and cost management

• Confident communicator with a hands-on, practical mindset

• Able to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team

• Ideally degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field

• Proficient in MS Excel, estimating software, and financial reporting
