Elsdon Group are working with a leading European contractor. Who have a strong track record of delivering HV/MV projects and data centres. They are currently looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to the team in Scotland. This role is remote, but you will be required to meet customers and contractors on site. This could be anywhere in the UK.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the project team with project documentation and control, job costing, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the cost management process for projects within the Renewables and Power sectors.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Oversee contract administration, including variations and claims.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure cost-effective delivery.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide financial advice to project stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports for project costings.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, with a focus on Renewables, Utilities, Energy, or Substations.
  • Strong understanding of cost management, contract negotiation, and project delivery.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
