Job summary

A growing residential developer based in Hertfordshire and Essex is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to oversee traditional housing projects. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with strong analytical and negotiation skills. This role offers genuine opportunities for progression and a negotiable salary based on experience. Candidates should be within commuting distance to Royston and willing to travel across various counties.

Qualifications

QUANTITY SURVEYOR | HERTS/ ESSEX | RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPER

A fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a newly established developer based in Hertfordshire and Essex with unlimited progression and growth. The Quantity Surveyor will be reporting into the Commercial Manager overseeing traditional build housing sites up to 100 units. If you are a Quantity Surveyor looking for a real challenge, this role is for you.

Genuine progression on offer along with salary negotiable on experience and a very good package.

About you
  • 5+ years' experience in quantity surveying, preferably with a private/plc residential developer.
  • HNC/HND in Surveying MCIOB (or working toward) preferred.
  • Capable of running multiple projects.
  • Behave in line with our company values - Integrity, Caring and Quality.
  • Excellent IT, analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical ability.
  • Ability to assess and analyse information with a good business sense.
  • Good understanding of budget management.
  • Negotiating and networking skills.
  • MS Suite and COINS user proven experience.
  • Enthusiasm, Flexibility.
  • Able to work within a busy team and under pressure.
  • Good team working skills.
  • Accurate with an eye for detail with methodical approach.
  • Willing to work extra to meet deadlines, as and when the business needs require it.
  • Based within commutable distance to Royston, Hertfordshire Area and willing to travel to sites across the Home Counties, Beds, Essex, Norfolk, Leicestershire.
