Utilise Recruitment Ltd. are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a well-established infrastructure and environmental contractor in Northamptonshire.

You will take ownership of commercial management on a portfolio of infrastructure projects, ensuring value and contractual compliance from award to final account. The role requires NEC3/NEC4 contract experience, strong cost control, and the ability to work with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners across the South, Midlands and wider

Qualifikationen

• NEC3 and/or NEC4 contract experience required or desirable.
• Strong commercial management principles and cost control.
• Valuations, forecasting and contract administration experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across sites.

Northamptonshire Up to 65,000 Basic + Package

We are delighted to be working with a well-established infrastructure and environmental contractor that is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team.

This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of a diverse range of projects across civil engineering, highways, environmental improvement, landscaping and infrastructure works. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently from a commercial perspective, working closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners.

The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple projects from contract award through to final account.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the financial and contractual performance of a portfolio of infrastructure projects
• Producing accurate valuations, applications for payment and commercial reports
• Monitoring project costs, budgets, forecasts and profitability
• Supporting project teams with commercial advice and contractual guidance
• Identifying and managing variations, compensation events and change control processes
• Administering NEC contracts and ensuring contractual obligations are met
• Assessing risk and implementing measures to protect commercial performance
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders
• Supporting cash flow by ensuring applications, payments and recoveries are managed effectively
• Assisting with final account negotiations and project close-out activities
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across commercial processes and procedures

About You To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Previous Quantity Surveying experience within highways, civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, landscaping or a similar contracting environment
• Strong understanding of commercial management principles and cost control
• Experience working under NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts
• Knowledge of valuations, forecasting, variations and contract administration
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent industry experience
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Willingness to travel to sites across the South, Midlands and wider UK as required
