Job summary

BES Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our multi-service design and installation team in the UK. You will support commercial strategy across the full project lifecycle, from pre-contract to final account, ensuring effective cost control and value maximisation on complex life sciences facilities.

Applicants should have a Quantity Surveying degree and NEC contract experience, with a proactive approach to governance, risk management and collaborative working across clients and supply chain

Qualifications

• Degree in quantity surveying or a related field.
• Experience with NEC contracts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial and project controls across the full lifecycle, from pre-contract to final account.
• Oversee cost forecasting, change management and performance reporting to support project delivery.
• Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor with commercial negotiations with clients, subcontractors and supply chain partners.

Committed to innovation and excellence in all we do, our specialist services encompass consisting of consultancy, design, construction, commissioning, and validation deliver turnkey projects throughout the UK.

We work right through from concept to completion, and you would work as an integral part of a multi-service design and installation team and be proactive in ensuring effective communication and production of high-quality information.

Much of your work will be in the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare and Food and Drink Sectors, providing detailed designs on projects ranging from sensitive research facilities to complex and demanding sterile manufacturing environments.

What you'll be doing:

Provide commercial and project controls support across the full project lifecycle, from pre-contract through to final account. Oversee cost forecasting, change management, and performance reporting to ensure effective project delivery. Partner with operational and project delivery teams to drive commercial strategy and support informed decision-making. Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor with commercial negotiations involving clients, subcontractors, and supply chain partners. Promote commercial best practice, governance, and consistent ways of working, while helping to maximise project value, manage risk, and achieve successful commercial outcomes.
