Job summary

The Caterpillar Desford site is seeking a Quality Support Technician to join the Building Construction Products team. You will help lead a small team of Auditors and Quality Technicians, investigate defects, record findings, and ensure products meet quality standards before they move to next stage.

You will use engineering drawings and tools like Excel and PowerPoint, follow clear processes, report issues to leaders and suppliers, and contribute to continuous quality improvements in a fast-paced

You’ll help lead a small team of Auditors and Quality Technicians, working together to spot, record, and sort out quality issues. Your job will involve investigating problems, keeping accurate records, and making sure products meet the right standards before they move on.**What you will do:**As a **Quality Support Technician**, you are accountable for, but not limited to:* Following and encouraging safe working practices to help keep the work area safe and productive.* Spotting and investigating defects using clear processes to make sure products meet quality standards.* Reporting problems clearly to team leaders and suppliers so they can be sorted quickly.* Working with others to share information and solve quality issues together.* Using problem-solving skills to fix issues and help improve how things are done.* Recording defects and tracking repairs using the computer system to make sure nothing gets missed.**NB.
