Job summary

Caterpillar Desford is seeking a Paint Quality Technician / Product Quality Controller (PQC) to audit components and finished machines, recording defects and driving quality improvements. You will read engineering drawings, apply quality standards, and participate in lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce defects across production lines.

You conduct audits/inspections on parts and partially or fully built machines.**What you will do:**As a **Quality Technician**, you are accountable for, but not limited to:* Conduct audits on parts and partially or fully built machines following inspection best practice/methodologies.* Record defect information in detail via electronic, manual processes or visual boards.* Investigate, analyse and identify Root Cause, and operate the NCM (Non-Confirming Material) process.* Conduct Basic visual and dimensional inspection as part of investigations.* Rework parts and machines as required.* Must be willing to work a multi-shift pattern.**NB.
