Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Quality Manager in Wrexham to own the company's quality systems, customer and supplier quality, and continuous improvement within an automotive manufacturing environment.

You will lead audits, manage 8D processes, PPAP submissions, and drive improvements across the IMS, collaborating with production, engineering, purchasing and supply chain to enhance product quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Engineering/Manufacturing degree or equivalent.
• Experience in automotive quality management.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Experience with customer and supplier quality, corrective actions.
• Leadership or management experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement across the business.
• Manage warranty claims, returns, and customer concerns with root cause analysis.
• Raise and close 8D reports with robust corrective actions.
• Act as primary contact for customers and suppliers on quality.
• Conduct internal, process and product audits per IATF/ISO standards.
• Support external audits and regulatory compliance.
• Lead PPAP submissions, product validation and sample approvals.
• Maintain calibration schedules and quality records.
• Produce and analyze quality KPIs (scrap, rework, warranty).
• Improve the Integrated Management System and promote best practice.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, purchasing and supply chain to improve quality and ops.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday (4-day week)

Responsibilities

• Lead all quality assurance and continuous improvement activities across the business.
• Manage warranty claims, returned products and customer concerns, carrying out root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Raise, manage and close internal and external 8D reports, ensuring robust corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
• Act as the primary contact for customers and suppliers on all quality-related matters.
• Conduct internal, process and product audits in accordance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Support external and third-party audits, ensuring ongoing compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Lead PPAP submissions, product validation, sample approvals and requalification activities.
• Maintain calibration schedules, controlled documentation and quality records.
• Produce and analyse quality KPIs, including scrap, rework, warranty performance and continuous improvement data.
• Drive improvements to the Integrated Management System (IMS) and promote quality best practice throughout the business.
• Work collaboratively with production, engineering, purchasing and supply chain teams to improve product quality and operational performance.

Requirements

• Degree or recognised qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related technical discipline.
• Previous experience within a Quality Management position in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 quality standards.
• Experience managing customer quality issues, supplier quality and corrective action processes.
• Excellent understanding of PPAP, 8D methodology, root cause analysis and continuous improvement techniques.
• Previous leadership or management experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel when required.
