Job summary

Clockwork Organisation Ltd t/a Travail Employment seeks a proactive Quality Manager for a global manufacturing business based in Wrexham. You will drive quality performance, lead warranty and supplier development, and steer continuous improvement in line with automotive standards.

The role involves audits per IATF16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and related standards, with strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and supplier collaboration. On-site role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or equivalent.
  • Proven quality-focused experience, ideally in automotive manufacturing.
  • Leadership experience with quality improvement responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive quality tools, processes and standards.
  • Experience conducting audits and managing quality management systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel when required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage warranty claims, OKM issues, and returns with root cause analysis.
  • Lead 8D investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Act as primary contact for customers and suppliers on quality matters.
  • Conduct internal, product, and process audits per IATF16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
  • Support external audits and reduce non-conformances with robust quality systems.
  • Manage PPAP activities, sample approvals, and product validation.
  • Maintain calibration schedules, documentation, and quality records.
  • Monitor and report key quality metrics like scrap and warranty.
  • Drive continuous improvement and support Integrated Management System development.

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Our client, a well-established global manufacturer based in Wrexham, is seeking a proactive and driven Quality Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in quality performance, customer satisfaction, supplier development, and compliance within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing warranty claims, OKM issues, and returned parts, including root cause analysis, liability assessments, customer communication, and supplier follow-up.
  • Leading and managing internal and external 8D investigations, ensuring corrective and preventative actions are effectively implemented.
  • Acting as the primary contact for customers and suppliers on all quality-related matters, fostering strong relationships and driving continuous improvement.
  • Conducting internal, product, and process audits in line with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Supporting external audits and reducing non-conformances through robust quality systems and controls.
  • Managing PPAP activities, sample approvals, product validation, seat requalification testing, and associated documentation.
  • Maintaining calibration schedules, controlled documentation, and quality records to ensure compliance with both customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring and reporting key quality metrics, including scrap, rework, warranty performance, OKM data, and KPI reporting.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting the ongoing development of the Integrated Management System.
About You
  • A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience within a quality-focused role, ideally within the automotive manufacturing sector.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience with responsibility for quality performance and improvement activities.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive quality tools, processes, and standards.
  • Experience conducting audits and managing quality management systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel when required.
