Job summary

Employment Solutions Ltd in Bolton is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to own the Quality Management System, ensuring ISO 9001:2015 compliance and alignment with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.

You will lead quality assurance, supplier quality, inspection, non-conformance management and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing lifecycle.

Qualifications

Proven as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer.
Experience with NCRs, QMS, audits and CAPAs, and handling customer complaints.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 in a Manufacturing & Engineering environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System to meet customer, regulatory and internal requirements.
Lead non-conformances, root cause investigations, CAPAs and corrective actions; address customer complaints.
Oversee incoming, in-process and final inspection, improve inspection techniques and manufacturing reliability.
Manage supplier and subcontractor quality, including qualification, audits and performance.
Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma and Total Quality Management principles.

Job description

An established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to take ownership of its Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015, customer specifications and regulatory requirements. The role will lead quality assurance, supplier quality, inspection, non-conformance management and continuous improvement across the entire manufacturing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and continually improve the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and internal requirements while monitoring performance against agreed quality objectives.
Manage non-conformances, root cause investigations, corrective and preventative actions and customer complaints, implementing sustainable solutions that reduce defects, waste, variation and associated costs.
Take responsibility for incoming, in-process and final inspection, developing effective inspection techniques and improving manufacturing reliability across raw materials, bought-in items and machined or fabricated components.
Manage supplier and subcontractor quality, including qualification, approval, auditing and ongoing performance, while working closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing and other internal departments.
Lead the organisation's continuous improvement and quality culture, delivering internal audits, quality training and improvements using appropriate Lean, Six Sigma and Total Quality Management principles.
