Job summary

CPL in Belfast is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality governance, metrology, calibration, and special process controls in a regulated manufacturing environment. This strategic leadership role focuses on robust QMS, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across functions.

You will drive audits, develop procedures, mentor teams, and partner with engineering and operations to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction across the site.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality or related discipline.
• Lead Auditor qualification required.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Extensive experience with Quality Management Systems.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and AS13100 standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain compliant QMS aligned to standards.
• Develop and enhance quality procedures and governance.
• Manage internal and external audit programmes.
• Drive continuous improvement and risk reduction.
• Provide expert guidance on QA, metrology, calibration, NDT, and special processes.
• Lead cross-functional quality reviews and CAPA.
• Support engineering and manufacturing with quality expertise.
• Review and approve quality and process docs.
• Manage calibration systems and measurement assurance.
• Ensure methods meet regulatory requirements.
• Coach and mentor quality and engineering staff.
• Monitor compliance and report performance metrics.

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading advanced manufacturing organisation seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and develop quality governance, business systems, metrology, calibration, and special process controls across a highly regulated environment.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring robust quality management systems, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting operational excellence across multiple functions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and maintaining compliant Quality Management Systems aligned to industry and customer standards.
• Developing and enhancing quality procedures, policies, and governance frameworks.
• Managing internal and external audit programmes.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and risk reduction activities.
• Providing expert guidance on quality assurance, compliance, metrology, calibration, NDT, and special processes.
• Leading cross-functional quality reviews, investigations, corrective actions, and improvement projects.
• Supporting engineering, manufacturing, and operational teams with quality-related technical expertise.
• Reviewing and approving quality, engineering, and process documentation.
• Managing calibration systems and measurement assurance activities.
• Ensuring inspection methods, measurement systems, and verification processes meet regulatory and customer requirements.
• Providing coaching, mentorship, and technical leadership to quality and engineering personnel.
• Monitoring compliance, reporting performance metrics, and supporting management review processes.

About You

• To be successful in this role, you will be a proven quality professional with extensive experience operating within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Degree qualified in an engineering, manufacturing, quality, or related discipline.
