Job summary

We are seeking a Senior Quality Inspector to join our Christchurch, Dorset team. The role involves inspecting manufactured goods to ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards and regulations.

You will work within a small quality team, carrying out material, part, and finished product inspections. Key responsibilities include using CMMs and vision systems to measure accuracy, producing FAIRs, and coordinating with customers and suppliers to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in a quality role within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of quality assurance and ISO 9001/AS9100.
• Working knowledge of CMMs, Vici Vision, Keyence and handheld inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out inspections of materials, parts and finished assemblies.
• Performing routine inspections and checking for defects per procedures.
• Using measuring equipment to high accuracy and precision (CMMs, Vici Vision, Keyence).
• Producing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) for internal and external use.
• Liaising with customers and supply chain to resolve issues.

Your Challenge

• Carrying out inspections of materials, parts and finished build inspections.
• Performing routine inspections and checking for defects in accordance with the Company's procedures.
• Using measuring equipment including CMMs, Vici Vision, Keyence to measure to a high level of accuracy and precision.
• Producing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), internally and externally.
• Liaising with customers and the supply chain on any issues and working to solve them.
• Support and help manage workloads for production needs, engineering needs and various investigations including MSA & Statistical Analysis studies and complying of SPC data to improve supplier quality.

What You Bring

• Experience in a quality role within an engineering / manufacturing industry.
• Good understanding of quality assurance and ISO 9001 / AS9100.
• Working knowledge of CMMs, Vici Vision, Keyence and other handheld inspection equipment.
• Competent use of PC.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to read and understand technical engineering drawings.
