Job summary

ASC Connections is seeking a Quality Inspector to join its precision engineering team in Redditch. You will inspect high-spec components using CMM and manual tools, interpret drawings and GD&T, and ensure full traceability across all inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience within a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician, CMM Operator or similar position.
• Experience operating CMM equipment, with flexibility on machine type and software used.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T and tight dimensional tolerances.
• Previous experience within precision engineering or manufacturing.
• CMM programming experience would be beneficial, but is not required for these positions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect precision components using CMM equipment and manual measuring tools.
• Set up components, fixtures and probes, running existing CMM inspection programmes.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and GD&T requirements.
• Complete first-off, in-process and final inspections, producing accurate reports and maintaining traceability.
• Interpret measurement results, identify non-conforming components and communicate findings to Quality and Production.
• Complete routine equipment checks and support improvements within inspection and manufacturing.

Quality Inspector | Up to £22.80 per Hour | Enhanced Overtime | 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

An established precision engineering and manufacturing business is currently seeking Quality Inspectors to join its Quality team in Redditch. With a strong order book and further investment in inspection equipment, these opportunities offer the chance to join a business manufacturing high-specification components. The successful individuals will operate CMM and manual inspection equipment, ensuring components meet tight tolerances and customer specifications.

Quality Inspector duties include

• Inspect precision components using CMM equipment and manual measuring tools.
• Set up components, fixtures and probes, running existing CMM inspection programmes.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and GD&T requirements.

Quality Inspector benefits include

• Hourly rate of £17.50-£22.80, dependent on experience and shift, inclusive of applicable shift allowance.
