Job description
Overview

We are recruiting a Quality Inspector to join a busy engineering environment in Lincoln. This is a key role ensuring production quality standards are met and maintained throughout the forge and factory.

Hours

Monday to Friday, 3 rotating shifts (7am to 3pm / 3pm to 11pm / 11pm to 7am).

Responsibilities
  • Inspecting and measuring components using handheld tools, Faro arms and 3D scanners.
  • Checking parts against engineering drawings and tolerances.
  • Completing inspection reports, SPC charts, and PPAP documentation.
  • Identifying and reporting defects, scrap, and rework.
  • Supporting audits, calibration activities, and problem investigations.
  • Assisting with training and technical support for new starters.
Qualifications
  • Apprentice-trained or trainee applicants considered.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience with inspection/measuring equipment (desirable).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work across all three shifts (non-negotiable).
Salary and Benefits
  • Pay: £13.77 - £16.49 per hour (based on training/experience).
  • Night shift allowance: +£1.02 per hour.
  • Overtime opportunities.
