Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting a Quality Inspector for a Alcester-based manufacturing facility, supplying high-precision metal components across sectors including aerospace. The role involves 3D scanner inspections, drawing interpretation, and maintaining the inspection database to ensure FAIR packs and non-conformance containment.

Shifts are late: Monday to Wednesday 16:30–02:30, Thursday 16:30–13:30. The site offers a clean, modern environment with on-site parking and opportunities to contribute

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
• Able to read and interpret engineering/product drawings.
• CAD knowledge.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Team player with collaborative mindset.
• Aerospace industry experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection operations using 3D Optical scanners.
• Conduct 1st and final inspections using manual and visual techniques.
• Populate the inspection database with all dimensions.
• Sentence/validate all inspected parts.
• Support the internal non-conformance process and capture containment.
• Liaise with engineering to ensure smooth transition of new products.
• Complete FAIR packs.

Job description

The company are a manufacturer in Alcester manufacturing high-precision fabricated and machined metal components, for various industry sectors but most prevalent aerospace.

They are seeking to recruit a Quality Inspector for their production facility

Salary £35,000 to £36,500 per annum.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspection operations using 3D Optical scanners
• Performing 1st and final inspections using manual and visual techniques
• Population of the inspection database with all relevant dimensions
• Sentencing of all parts inspected
• Supporting the internal non conformance process - raising rejects and ensuring all containment is captured
• Liaise closely with the engineering team to ensure smooth transition of new products
• Completion of FAIR packs

Required Skills & Experience:

• Must be familiar with quality control procedures and standards and have held a quality control role in a manufacturing environment
• Able to read and interpret engineering and product drawings
• CAD knowledge
• Strong communication skills and an attention to detail
• Strong team player
• An advantage would be to hold experience of the aerospace industry

The role is Lates - Monday to Wednesday 4.30pm to 2.30am - Thursday 4.30pm to 1.30pm
