Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in Alcester manufactures high-precision metal components for aerospace, defence and power industries. A Quality Inspector is sought to perform 3D optical and CMM inspections, document dimensions and support non-conformance processes.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, CAD knowledge and strong attention to detail. It offers a late shift pattern and a collaborative environment with on-site parking and social events.

Qualifications

• Must be familiar with quality control procedures and standards in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to read and interpret engineering and product drawings.
• CAD knowledge.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Strong team player.
• Experience in aerospace is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection operations using 3D optical scanners.
• Perform 1st and final inspections using manual and visual techniques.
• Populate the inspection database with relevant dimensions.
• Sentencing of all parts inspected on optical and CMM equipment.
• Support the internal non-conformance process by raising rejects and capturing containment.
• Liaise with engineering to ensure smooth transition of new products.
• Complete FAIR packs.
• Work the late shift: Mon–Wed 16:30–2:30, Thu 16:30–13:30.

Job description

The company are a manufacturer in Alcester manufacturing high-precision fabricated and machined metal components, for the aerospace, defence, and power industries.

They are seeking to recruit a Quality Inspector for their operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspection operations using 3D Optical scanners
• Performing 1st and final inspections using manual and visual techniques
• Population of the inspection database with all relevant dimensions
• Sentencing of all parts inspected on optical (Keyence, Scan, OGP) and CMM
• Supporting the internal non conformance process – raising rejects and ensuring all containment is captured
• Liaise closely with the engineering team to ensure smooth transition of new products
• Completion of FAIR packs
• The role is Lates – Monday to Wednesday 4.30pm to 2.30am – Thursday 4.30pm to 1.30pm

Required Skills & Experience

• Must be familiar with quality control procedures and standards and have held a quality control role in a manufacturing environment
• Able to read and interpret engineering and product drawings
• CAD knowledge
• Strong communication skills and an attention to detail
• Strong team player
• An advantage would be to hold experience of the aerospace industry
