Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting a Quality Inspector for a Bristol-based aerospace manufacturer. The role reports to the Quality Manager in a small team of quality engineers and inspectors.

You will inspect components to aerospace quality standards, perform first off, FAIRS, and final inspections, document records, interpret drawings and route cards, and verify incoming materials and sub-contract parts. CMM knowledge is beneficial.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years quality experience in engineering or aerospace quality roles.
• Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and AS9102 helpful.
• Experience documenting and maintaining inspection records.

Quality Inspector
Up to £43,500 (including shift allowance) BS10 33 days incl bank hols, pension 4.5 % employer contribution, 38 hours a week on Shifts Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm (6am start and early finish Fridays on all shifts) pension parking, bonus.

Friendly and successful aerospace engineering company in Bristol are recruiting for a quality inspector who would report in to the quality manager working in a small team of quality engineers and inspectors.

The quality inspector role will involve inspecting components and parts to aerospace quality standards and the following skills

Skills

• Dimensional and visual inspection of precision machined components
• Performing first off, FAIRS, intermediate and final inspection
• Supporting the requirements for documenting and maintaining records for these activities
• Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications,
• Review and interpret route cards, process instructions, drawings and inspection procedures to determine dimensions and tolerances
• Inspection, verification and certification of incoming material and sub-contract parts,
• Using all types of standard measuring equipment
• Use of CMM
• Dealing with quality issues and delivering practical solutions on the shop-floor.
• Working with reports in accordance with AS9102.

Candidate Profile

• Currently in a quality role working in engineering with around 3 + years quality experience.
• The aerospace quality inspector could be looking to continue developing their skills if they are not from an aerospece background and in this instance candidates would need to demonstrate exceptional skills/aptitude and be eager to further develop their career.
• Capabale of operating in a small team of quality inspectors reporting to the Quality manager
• Able to perform the role with minimum supervision and work as part of a team.
• Candidates suitable for this role are likely to have a related engineering background, City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent qualifications and or specific quality or engineering related qualifications.
• Knowledge of operating CMM machines is but not essential.
