Job summary

Porvair Filtration Group is seeking a Quality professional to ensure products consistently meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and performance. You will collaborate with customers, suppliers, partners, and internal teams to drive continuous improvements across the product lifecycle.

The role focuses on leading complaint resolution, fault investigations, APQP/PPAP activities to AS9145, and supporting AS9102 verification.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualifications (minimum ONC/HNC).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, with GD&T knowledge.
• Ability to inspect components to drawing requirements.
• Knowledge of industry quality registration schemes and certification processes (ISO9001, AS9100 and NADCAP).
• Understanding of engineering design and product reliability concepts and tool sets.
• Knowledge of gauging and basic understanding of product material properties.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts and tools.
• Knowledge of System and process auditing techniques to ensure compliance to defined quality requirements.
• Understanding of problem-solving methods i.e. 8D, root cause analysis, and the associated tools used to analyse problems, evaluate and complete improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Review customer quality requirements related to orders and ensure correct implementation.
• Provide Quality customer interface and expertise to proactively assure requirements are understood and satisfied, including leading complaint resolution.
• Conduct fault investigations and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken.
• Solve technical product/process and business process problems using structured approaches such as 8D.
• Support the Quality Team in data collection and analysis to implement quality improvements.
• Host customer and participate in third-party audits, managing non-conformances through to closure.
• Audit internal and supplier Quality Systems and close out non-conformances.
• Evaluate potential and existing suppliers for use within the company ASL.
• Coordinate APQP activities and complete PPAP documentation to AS9145 standards.
• Provide support in compiling product verification documentation to AS9102 (FAIR).
• Develop and analyse statistical data to recommend improvements.
• Participate in product development and launch activities including reliability analysis and design reviews.
• Provide support in process capability, control plans, and process audits.
• Investigate and eliminate causes of quality problems and follow up on corrective actions.
• Participate in design, procurement, maintenance, and evaluation of gauges and test equipment.
• Complete release documentation including C of C and Data Dossier for shipping.
