Job summary

Porvair Filtration Group seeks an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead Manufacturing Engineering and Operations teams. You will drive operational excellence, champion continuous improvement, and shape future manufacturing performance through safe, efficient processes.

You will mentor engineers, partner with design and production, and implement tooling, PFMEA, and SPC controls to maximise yield and reliability across aerospace/high mix, low volume environments.

Qualifications

• APICS CPIM or CSCP or related discipline.
• Data Analyst certification.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Advanced user capability in Excel and Power BI.
• Data modelling and visualisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of supply chain processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience in detailed data and supply chain analysis.
• Development of dashboard and reporting tools.
• High competency with large, complex datasets across ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safety first, collaborative team culture and lead HSE investigations.
• Ensure manufacturing readiness of existing product lines and plan resources.
• Develop and enhance training packages for production needs.
• Lead process improvement reviews and support MRB to improve yield.
• Design replacement tooling to minimise downtime and conduct DOE.
• Utilise PFMEA, control plans and SPC to standardise output.
• Lead from concept to handover with SQDC considerations.
• Conduct FAT and SAT to ensure right first time introduction.
• Mentor and coach Manufacturing Engineers and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide design guidance for tooling and processing equipment.
• Champion Continuous improvement with data-driven cost and delivery improvements.
• Produce data-backed CapEx plans and drive capacity expansion.
• Drive yield improvement through process control and cycle time analysis.
• Lead Kaizen events and support company values.
