Job Description:

Our client is a well-established manufacturer of high-quality Microbiology Consumables based in North Manchester.

Due to continued expansion, a vacancy has arisen for a Laboratory Technician. The role involves Quality Control inspection of all new and in-process components used within Cleanroom environments and finished goods inspection after sterilisation. Laboratory testing skills are essential, including managing product NCs, handling complaints, and performing tests like TVC, EM, Aseptic technique, Organism identification, managing organism stocks, and membrane filtration. There is also an opportunity to assist with ongoing R&D projects for suitable candidates.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Friday 8:30 am to 12:50 pm.

Duties:

• Raw material and finished product performance testing
• Inspection of Medical & Non-Medical products
• Sterility & ATP testing
• Bioburdens, TVC & ID testing
• Recording Out of Specification results & processing Non-Conformities
• Assisting with Customer Complaints

Skills and experience required:

• Science Degree
• Life science laboratory skills/experience
• Experience with Aseptic and culturing techniques
• Interest in Microbiology
