Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Remote Pharmacy Technician to join Phlo, in our growing clinical services team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care by utilising cutting-edge digital tools and processes.

This is a full time, permanent, remote role, which will be predominately weekdays with occasional weekend rota shifts as needed. Occasional attendance to a Phlo branch or office may be required for team days, training etc.

The Job:

  • Reviewing patient consultations and assessing their patient eligibility for weight management medications, including reviewing medical history and current medications
  • Accessing the patient's Summary Care Record (SCR) to gather essential clinical information and screen for eligibility
  • Following triage SOP to contact patients via automated and manual methods to gather more information when required
  • Communicating clearly with members of the clinical services team to highlight and address any concerns
  • Supporting patient care with relevant patient queries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient interaction
  • Participating in continuous quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives


Requirements

The Person:

  • Clinical Knowledge: GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician (NVQ3 qualification or equivalent is essential)
  • Digital Proficiency: Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in electronic health records and patient management systems
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically, analyse information, and make sound decisions
  • Empathy: Genuine empathy and compassion for patients, coupled with a patient-centered approach
