Full Job Description

NOCN Group is seeking freelance End Point Assessors/Moderators with significant experience as Education Technicians. There are 2 pathways: Higher Education Assistant Technician or Simulation-based Assistant Technician.

Location: Remote, with travel to sites required

Hours: Worker Contract, Freelance

Purpose and Objectives:

1. Ensuring End Point Assessments are conducted independently and meet NOCN's quality assurance standards.
2. Completing assessments in accordance with the prescribed assessment instruments as defined within the End Point Assessment plan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assessing apprentices against relevant Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours throughout the Knowledge Test and Practical Test, following the End Point Assessment plan.
2. Uploading assessment reports promptly, in line with NOCN's service level agreements.
3. Preparing for assessments in a timely manner and identifying gaps in apprentices' KSBs.
4. Building rapport with apprentices to enable them to perform their best during assessments.
5. Maintaining ongoing CPD in their subject area to ensure knowledge remains current.
6. Representing NOCN professionally when conducting assessments.
7. Adhering to GDPR practices and ensuring data security.

Key Requirements:

1. Appointing independent assessors with recent relevant experience in the occupation/sector within the last 3 years or significant experience in the sector.
2. Appointing assessors who are members of professional bodies such as the Institute of Science and Technology (HE Option) for RSci Tech or the Registered Practitioner/Association for Simulated Practice in Healthcare (SBE Option) for RSci Tech.
3. Completing 5 days of recorded CPD per year.
4. Holding a recognised assessment qualification (e.g., A1) or having been trained in assessment practices by their EPAO.
