Claims Technician - Subsidence Team

Due to growth, an experienced Claims Technician is required to join a Subsidence Team. You will provide technical building claims solutions and support to surveyors and the claims management team.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  1. Working as part of a remote, desk-based team to drive subsidence claims towards settlement.
  2. Communicating with customers, contractors, and insurer clients via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
  3. Managing third-party companies to achieve vegetation removal and drain repairs to mitigate subsidence damage.
  4. Updating and creating building repair scopes using in-house schedules of rates.
  5. Negotiating cash settlements for repairs with policyholders.
  6. Managing panel contractors, controlling repair schedules and costs.
  7. Settling claims under delegated authority.
  8. Having previous subsidence/building insurance claims experience, extensive trade experience (5+ years), or being a graduate building surveyor.
  9. Demonstrating excellent communication and organizational skills.
  10. Providing a high standard of customer service.
  11. Being computer literate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  12. Thriving in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  13. Maintaining a positive attitude, being flexible, self-motivated, and a team player.
  14. Paying attention to detail, assessing and resolving problems effectively.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Up to £30,000 per annum
