Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and efficient QA Analyst to join a team of multi-skilled digital professionals.

Due to the nature of the role, we can only accept applicants who are already in the UK and can commute long-term 3 days a week to our Avonmouth Office. This will be a hybrid role after a training period, with 2 days working from home.

Our ideal candidate has at least 3 years of testing experience within an Agile, SCRUM, or DevOps environment, with a strong understanding of TDD, BDD, or XP methodologies. They should have a determined approach to identifying defects, delivering quality products, and ensuring an excellent user experience. The candidate will be highly competent in their current QA career, with aspirations to further shape and improve existing processes by deploying best practices.

The QA Analyst will report to our Web Technical Services Manager and collaborate with the broader development team, including our external Systems Integrator. They will provide manual testing, drive high standards for all deliverables, foster a culture of quality, and encourage others to prioritize quality at all stages.

Responsibilities include maintaining high standards in bug detection and management, communicating issues effectively, creating and executing test documentation, conducting exploratory testing, collaborating with developers and stakeholders, and staying updated with market trends to enhance team knowledge.

Capabilities, Skills, and Experience Required

  • Over 3 years of experience with Agile delivery, SCRUM, and DevOps
  • ISEB, ISTQB qualification or equivalent
  • Strong skills in writing and managing test documentation; ability to explain complex issues
  • Exposure to Selenium and Gherkin
  • Familiarity with BDD, TDD, XP methodologies
  • Interest or desire to learn automated testing tools
  • Good knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Optional: familiarity with Jira, Hybris, Virtuoso, Cucumber, FitNesse, Selenium, SpecFlow, Quicktest Pro
