Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking a Qualified Teaching Assistant to cover day-to-day supply, short-term bookings, and long-term roles in Redditch and surrounding areas.

The role requires Enhanced DBS on the update service and a recognized qualification (Level 2/3 or an Undergraduate degree in Education/Childcare). Training will be provided as needed in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Position: Qualified Teaching Assistant

We are currently looking for a dedicated and qualified Teaching Assistant to work for a number of our schools based in Redditch and surrounding areas. The chosen candidates will have the opportunity to cover day to day supply, short-term bookings and long-term roles.

Job Type: Full-Time & Part-Time

Location: Redditch, B80

As a qualified Teaching Assistant your main responsibilities will consist of:

• Not only supporting pupils educational development but also managing and supporting the classroom alongside the designated teacher
• Creating a positive and engaging atmosphere in the classroom
• Providing tailored assistance for SEND pupils
• Monitoring students and reporting to designated teacher when needed
• De-escalating behavioural conflicts and recognising good behaviour in accordance with the schools policies

Teaching Assistant Requirements

• Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
• Qualified (e.g. Level 2, Level 3 or Undergradtuate degree in Education/Childcare)
• Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy
