Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant to work across Redditch and surrounding areas. The role involves day-to-day supply cover, short-term bookings and long-term roles supporting pupils and assisting the class teacher.

Applicants should hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service, a Level 2/3 or undergraduate degree in Education or Childcare, and be willing to complete training as needed. Salary is in line with the client's pay policy.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
• Qualified (e.g. Level 2, Level 3 or Undergraduate degree in Education/Childcare)
• Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' educational development and assist the classroom alongside the designated teacher
• Create a positive and engaging atmosphere in the classroom
• Provide tailored assistance for SEND pupils
• Monitor students and report to the designated teacher when needed
• De-escalate behavioural conflicts and recognise good behaviour in accordance with the schools policies
