Job summary

Academics is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Redditch and surrounding areas. The role involves day-to-day supply, short-term bookings, and long-term placements, working alongside designated teachers.

You will create a positive classroom environment, provide tailored SEND support, monitor progress, and help de-escalate behavioural issues in line with school policies.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service).
• Relevant qualifications or experience.
• Willingness to train continually when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' educational development and assist the class teacher.
• Create a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
• Provide tailored assistance for SEND pupils.
• Monitor students and report to the class teacher when needed.

Position: Primary Teaching Assistant

Location: Redditch, B80

We are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate Primary Teaching Assistant to work for one of our schools based in Redditch and other schools located in surrounding areas. The chosen candidates will have the opportunity to cover day to day supply, short-term bookings and long-term roles.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant your main responsibilities will consist of:

• Not only supporting pupils educational development but also managing and supporting the classroom alongside the designated teacher
• Creating a positive and engaging atmosphere in the classroom
• Providing tailored assistance for SEND pupils
• Monitoring students and reporting to designated teacher when needed
• De‑escalating behavioural conflicts and recognising good behaviour in accordance with the schools policies

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
• Relevant qualifications or experience
• Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
