Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant to work across Redditch and surrounding areas. The role involves day-to-day supply cover, short-term bookings and long-term roles supporting pupils and assisting the class teacher.

Applicants should hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service, a Level 2/3 or undergraduate degree in Education or Childcare, and be willing to complete training as needed. Salary is in line with the client's pay policy.

• De-escalate behavioural conflicts and recognise good behaviour in accordance with the schools policies

We are currently looking for a dedicated and qualified Teaching Assistant to work for a number of our schools based in Redditch and surrounding areas. The chosen candidates will have the opportunity to cover day to day supply, short-term bookings and long-term roles.

As a qualified Teaching Assistant your main responsibilities will consist of:

• Not only supporting pupils educational development but also managing and supporting the classroom alongside the designated teacher
• Creating a positive and engaging atmosphere in the classroom
• Providing tailored assistance for SEND pupils
• Monitoring students and reporting to designated teacher when needed
• De-escalating behavioural conflicts and recognising good behaviour in accordance with the schools policies

Teaching Assistant Requirements:
