Job summary

Academics is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join our client schools in Redditch and surrounding areas. You will support pupils’ educational development and help maintain a positive classroom environment.

The role includes day-to-day supply, short-term bookings and long-term roles, with opportunities for training and progression under the guidance of experienced teachers.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service).
• Relevant qualifications or experience.
• Willingness to complete training when needed.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils' educational development and assisting the classroom alongside the designated teacher.
• Creating a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
• Providing tailored assistance for SEND pupils.
• Monitoring students and reporting to the designated teacher.
• De-escalating behavioural conflicts and reinforcing school policies.

We are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate Primary Teaching Assistant to work for one of our schools based in Redditch and other schools located in surrounding areas. The chosen candidates will have the opportunity to cover day to day supply, short-term bookings and long-term roles.

Responsibilities

• Not only supporting pupils educational development but also managing and supporting the classroom alongside the designated teacher
• Creating a positive and engaging atmosphere in the classroom
• Providing tailored assistance for SEND pupils
• Monitoring students and reporting to designated teacher when needed
• De-escalating behavioural conflicts and recognising good behaviour in accordance with the schools policies

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
• Relevant qualifications or experience
• Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy
