Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Health and Social Care Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons to students at both GCSE and BTEC levels. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students in the field of health and social care, encouraging their growth and development while helping them achieve their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and effective lessons in Health and Social Care to students at Key Stage 4 and 5.
  • Prepare students for exams and coursework assessments in line with the curriculum requirements (GCSE and BTEC).
  • Support and guide students in their learning and development, promoting a positive classroom environment.
  • Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded education experience for students.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and uphold the school's safeguarding and behavioural policies.
Key Requirements
  • A relevant degree or qualification in Health and Social Care or a related subject (e.g., Teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS).
  • Experience teaching Health and Social Care at Key Stage 4 and/or 5 (GCSE and BTEC).
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum and assessment frameworks for Health and Social Care.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • A passion for teaching and inspiring students to pursue careers in health, social care, and related fields.
