Job summary

Global Payments Inc. in Cambridge seeks a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our delivery teams, contributing to high-volume fintech software with a focus on robustness, security, scalability, and quality engineering excellence.

You will work in a cross-functional agile team, owning backlogs end-to-end, from discovery through delivery and post-live support, in Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe environments. The role emphasizes collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in a Quality Assurance or Test Automation role.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn in a fast-paced fintech environment.
• Familiarity with agile development environments (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe).
• Hands-on experience with test automation, including creating and maintaining automated tests, e.g. using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles including test planning, estimation, prioritisation, and risk-based testing.
• Exposure to agile testing practices such as BDD, TDD, or similar approaches.
• Ability to analyse requirements and user stories, identifying risks and appropriate test coverage.
• Understanding of quality management methods, tools and technologies, with a mindset of continuous improvement.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• UNIX and SQL skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to delivering high-quality software by supporting quality engineering and testing activities.
• Collaborate with your team to build strong technical and domain knowledge.
• Test fintech products that change how people pay, bank, and invest.
• Design and plan test plans and test strategies for projects and applications.
• Support test planning for agile deliveries within Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe teams.
• Analyse requirements and user stories to derive effective manual and automated test coverage.
• Execute testing including test case execution, exploratory testing, and automated test execution.
• Analyse and report quality risks, producing defect reports and test completion reports.
• Contribute to release support activities.
• Create automated tests to progress automation work items and enhance the test suite (e.g. Selenium).
• Maintain and improve the test automation framework with new features and bug fixes.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
