Purchasing Manager : Iconic Hospitality Group : London : Up to A GBP 60K + Benefits

My client is an iconic hospitality group with a renowned reputation across their luxurious portfolio.

They are seeking a Purchasing Manager to join their team. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing all food and non-food categories, implementing a procurement strategy, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effectiveness for the business.

This role is ideal for a high-performing Purchasing Manager looking to join a reputable company with genuine progression opportunities.

This position is site-based, five days a week.

Responsibilities Include

1. Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with the company's operational goals.
2. Source, negotiate, and establish relationships with suppliers to secure quality products at competitive prices.
3. Oversee procurement of food, beverages, equipment, and operational supplies across multiple properties.
4. Monitor market trends and supplier performance to ensure reliability and efficiency.
5. Collaborate with chefs, managers, and department heads to forecast needs and manage inventory levels.
6. Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
7. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in procurement processes.
8. Manage contracts, agreements, and procurement records accurately and promptly.

The Ideal Purchasing Manager Candidate

1. Minimum of 3 years purchasing experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
2. Strong multi-category knowledge.
3. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
4. Familiarity with procurement software and supply chain management systems; experience with Oracle is a plus.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
6. Knowledge of sustainability practices and trends in hospitality is advantageous.
7. Willing to be site-based five days a week.
