Procurement Category Manager – Logistics & Fleet

Location: Home based contract with UK travel. HQ is Buckinghamshire.

Salary: £55,000–£65,000 + 20% Bonus + Excellent Benefits (matched pension up to 7%, PMI, 25 days AL)

Overview: We are seeking a strategic Procurement Category Manager to lead initiatives in Logistics, Transport, and Fleet procurement for a major UK business. This role offers the opportunity to shape category strategies, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and deliver significant commercial value.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Own and develop the Logistics & Fleet procurement strategy across the Group.
2. Manage sourcing activities for transport services (3PL, fleet leasing, fuel, maintenance).
3. Identify opportunities to optimize service levels, reduce costs, and streamline suppliers.
4. Lead end-to-end sourcing events including tendering, negotiations, and contracting.
5. Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, legal, and finance departments.

Candidate Profile:

• Strong experience in Logistics and/or Fleet Procurement.
• Excellent negotiation and commercial skills.
• Experience managing multi-million-pound sourcing events.
• Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
• Ideally CIPS-qualified or working towards qualification.
