Job Description

Your duties as the Purchasing Manager include:

1. Develop, motivate, and performance manage a Purchasing team of 7 on a day-to-day basis.
2. Act as a Continuous Improvement champion, seeking out ways to make improvements to the bottom line.
3. Deliver improvements in cost and service levels from indirect suppliers to Safran UK business units.
4. Create and maintain a culture of internal customer service.
5. Develop strategies for Indirect spend, ensuring full alignment with the needs of UK businesses.
6. Manage strategic and operational negotiations and, where appropriate, negotiate directly with suppliers.
7. Support Buyers and Commodity Managers as required in key negotiations.
8. Strategic development of indirect spends.
9. Project management.
10. Execute robust processes and procedures.
11. Develop and mentor existing team.
