Job description

PURCHASING ADMINISTRATOR

LOCATION: BOURNEMOUTH

SALARY: GBP26,000 - GBP29,000 + TRAINING + BENEFITS

Due to an expansion within the business, my client is looking to add to their Project Management team with the addition of a Purchasing Administrator.

We are looking for an ambitious individual. If you're a driven & highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you.

THE ROLE:

  1. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be an important part of the Project management team.
  2. Booking goods in on ERP / MRP System.
  3. Procurement of raw materials to specification & the Procurement of bought-in items to specification.
  4. Placing orders for any sub-contract activities.
  5. Interacting with and chasing suppliers over the phone to ensure on-time delivery.
  6. Maintaining the CRM/ERP system with accurate purchase order & subcontract purchase order delivery dates.
  7. Adding project notes to the daily orders report to highlight key dates and milestones for manufacturing, painting, and packing.
  8. Raising project works orders for the Project Manager to issue to the Factory.
  9. Assisting the Project Manager with the progression of placed purchase orders.
  10. You will be involved with the booking of transport for shipping purposes.
  11. Ensuring all invoicing is up to date for projects you are involved with.
  12. The preparation of project/QA documentation packs for customers.

THE PERSON:
  1. Proven purchasing experience, ideally this experience will be of at least 2-3 years and will have involved the purchasing of raw materials.
  2. Experience in using an ERP / MRP System is essential.
  3. A strong interest in production and purchasing.
  4. A confident self-starter with the ability to prioritise and proactively manage their own workload.
  5. Experience in building supplier relationships, face to face and over the phone.
  6. A strong eye for detail and excellent organisational skills.
  7. Excellent verbal communication skills.
  8. Must be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  9. A working knowledge or demonstrable understanding of dealing with subcontractors would be highly advantageous.
  10. Understanding material drawings would be highly advantageous.
