Full Job Description

Our client is an independent, commercially focused organisation that specialises in funding projects towards a net zero economy. They deploy capital rapidly towards sector-specific, real-economy outcomes such as energy efficiency in buildings.

They are looking to hire a Procurement and Contracts Manager on a part-time basis (3 days per week). The role involves leading procurement activities and contract management processes across the organisation. It is crucial in ensuring procurement practices meet donor compliance standards, deliver value for money, and support organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing procurement strategies
  2. Managing contracts effectively
  3. Ensuring compliance and managing risks
  4. Managing relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
  5. Providing training and capacity building

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in procurement and contract management, preferably in the not-for-profit or public sector
  • Strong knowledge of UK procurement law and grant funding requirements (e.g., FCDO, UN)
  • Experience managing procurement processes and negotiations with suppliers
  • Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills, with attention to detail

The organisation is headquartered in London, but the role can be performed remotely with occasional meetings in London.
