Purchase Ledger Specialist at Staging It

Join our team as a Purchase Ledger Specialist at Staging It.

Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Work Arrangement: 3-4 days from home
Contract: 9-month FTC

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to manage all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process vendor invoices accurately, ensuring correct coding, approval, and entry into the system.
2. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
3. Manage the accounts payable inbox, responding to vendor inquiries.
4. Prepare and process electronic payments, including ACH and wire transfers.
5. Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
6. Collaborate with purchasing and receiving departments for proper documentation.
7. Maintain vendor master data, including setup and updates.
8. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
9. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
10. Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounts payable.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles related to accounts payable.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
