Job summary

Place Partnership is seeking a proactive Pupil Services Officer at Ossett Academy & Sixth Form to support pupil wellbeing, promote high standards of behaviour and attendance, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

You will provide frontline pastoral support, welfare checks with the Attendance Officer, and assist with safeguarding procedures while helping organise events and daily administration during term-time plus inset days. Start ASAP; temporary to 31 August 2027.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
• Experience providing high-quality administrative support in a busy environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with young people.
• Knowledge of data protection legislation and confidentiality.
• Proactive, organised and resilient with flexible support to the Academy.

Responsibilities

• Support pupil wellbeing and promote high standards of behaviour and attendance.
• Provide visible, approachable pastoral support to pupils and staff.
• Respond to pastoral and behavioural matters and assist with safeguarding procedures as needed.
• Undertake welfare checks in collaboration with the Attendance Officer and support key academy events.
• Deliver effective administrative support and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
