Job summary

ALT Trust is seeking an Attendance Support role focused on pupils with the poorest attendance, including those at risk of becoming persistently absent. You will work under the Attendance Lead to provide targeted family-based support and coordinate with safeguarding, inclusion, and external agencies.

Travel between ALT Trust schools and family homes is required, with induction and ongoing professional development offered. A generous pension scheme and Cycle to Work are among the benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children, young people and families, managing complex cases and building positive relationships with families is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted, relationship-based support to pupils and their families to identify and reduce barriers to regular attendance.
• Liaise with school attendance, safeguarding, pastoral and inclusion teams and external agencies to ensure coordinated, timely support.
• Travel between ALT Trust schools and family homes, including home visits and outreach work.
