Job summary

LBS Builders Merchants Limited is seeking a commercially driven Public Sector Manager to grow our public sector customer base from Head Office in Ammanford. You will identify opportunities, secure tenders, and build strong relationships with authorities, housing associations, NHS, education providers and emergency services.

You will manage frameworks, coordinate bids, and develop strategic account plans to maximise growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in public sector sales, business development or key account management.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management.
• Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and tendering.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new public sector opportunities via procurement portals, frameworks and tenders.
• Build relationships with local authorities, housing associations, NHS, education providers, emergency services and other public bodies.
• Manage and retain existing framework agreements and support re-tender opportunities.
• Coordinate tender submissions with internal teams to secure successful bids.
• Develop strategic account plans to maximise sales growth and profitability.
• Create and manage a robust pipeline and forecast future opportunities.
• Collaborate with branch teams, suppliers and colleagues to deliver excellent service.
• Attend meetings, industry events and supplier visits as required.
• Analyze performance, monitor KPIs, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Support growth of the Public Sector Department as the primary contact for customers and stakeholders.
