Job summary

LBS Builders Merchants Ltd in Ammanford is seeking a Public Sector Manager to drive growth within the public sector. You will identify opportunities, build relations with authorities and NHS organisations, and manage framework agreements while supporting re-tenders.

Applicants should have a strong background in public sector sales, tendering processes, and stakeholder management, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Public Sector, Business Development, Key Account Management, or Sales Management.
• Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes, frameworks, and tendering procedures.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new public sector opportunities through procurement portals, frameworks, and tender opportunities.
• Build and develop strong relationships with local authorities, housing associations, NHS organisations, education providers, emergency services, and other public sector bodies.
• Manage and retain existing framework agreements while supporting future re-tender opportunities.
• Coordinate tender submissions and work closely with internal departments to ensure successful bid outcomes.
• Develop strategic account plans to maximise sales growth and profitability.
• Create and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities, tracking progress and forecasting future business.
• Work closely with branch teams, suppliers, and colleagues across the business to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Attend customer meetings, industry events, supplier visits, and trade shows when required.
• Analyse performance, monitor KPIs, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support the growth of the Public Sector Department as a key point of contact for customers and stakeholders.
