Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Local government or public sector audit experience.
• Strong written communication and analytical skills.
• Confident stakeholder and relationship management.
• Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
• A curiosity about public accountability and a commitment to the public interest are essential

Responsibilities

• Lead management and resolution of complaints in local audit work with evidence-based responses.
• Manage local elector objections end-to-end, assess merits, coordinate with teams.
• Triage and investigate whistleblowing disclosures per policy and standards.
• Respond to matters raised by electors, liaise with teams within statutory timescales
