Job summary

Cpl Recruitment is seeking Library Assistants for public sector roles across the Derry and Strabane Area in Northern Ireland. These positions are temporary with the possibility of extension, offering flexible hours (part-time and full-time) and a pay rate of £13.63 per hour.

You will support frontline library services, help users access information, shelve materials, and contribute to learning and community activities under Libraries NI policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum five GCSEs including English and Maths or equivalent/higher qualification.
• At least one year of face-to-face public service experience, including with children and older people.
• Experience using ICT to access, select and use information.
• Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients to use services and facilities by handling enquiries and processing requests.
• Support delivery of promotional activities and programmes (school visits, story time, events).
• Maintain shelving, circulation processes, and ICT operations for information services.
