Job summary

Cpl Recruitment is seeking Library Assistants for public sector roles in Northern Ireland, covering Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon. These are temporary contracts with potential extension, offering flexible hours (part-time or full-time).

You will assist clients with resources, shelving, and circulation, delivering front-line library services to meet learning, information, leisure and cultural needs of the local community.

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs including English and Maths or equivalent.
• Experience providing a face-to-face service to the public.
• Experience using ICT to access and use information.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients to use library services and resources.
• Handle enquiries and process requests.
• Shelve, tidy and maintain books and resources; manage circulation tasks.
• Operate library ICT and support information services.
• Collate statistics and maintain records.
• Deliver high-standard front-line library services to learners and the public.
