Job summary

Cpl Recruitment is seeking Building Supervisors for Libraries NI in the Derry and Strabane Area on a temporary contract with potential extension. Pay rate is £13.63 per hour. Roles include part-time and full-time hours across multiple locations such as Castlederg, Derry City area and Strabane.

The job covers security, cleaning, porterage, and administration duties in public sector libraries. Successful candidates will hold a valid driving licence and have prior experience in building supervision

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid, full Driving Licence.
• Experience as Assistant Building Supervisor, Caretaker or similar in a medium/large building.
• Previous responsibility for security of a building, opening/closing and key holder duties.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and electrical cleaning machinery.
• Awareness of Health and Safety legislation (COSHH/CLP).
• Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
• Able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
• No criminal record which would prevent working with children or vulnerable adults.

Responsibilities

• Security of the premises and contents.
• Open/close the premises and grounds and secure at day end.
• Carry out cleaning duties to Libraries NI standards.
• Assist with porterage duties and handling of materials.
• Prepare reports and coordinate with Line Manager on contractor work.
• Maintain records of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Direct and support library operations as required.
