The Recruitment Co. is seeking a part-time Library assistant for Ballymena Library on a temporary ongoing basis, starting ASAP, with a two-week rota. The role involves assisting the public and delivering library services in a community setting.

Responsibilities include explaining library services and ensuring access to information, learning and leisure activities. Applicants should have 5 GCSEs incl. English/Maths and at least one year of face-to-face public service experience, plus ICT skills.

Qualifications

  • Must have 5 GCSEs including English language and Maths grade C or equivalent.
  • 1 year experience providing face to face service with the public.
  • Experience working with young children and elderly people.
  • Experience using ICT for accessing, selecting and using information.

Job description

We are currently seeking a part-time temporary ongoing part-time Library assistant for our Client based in Ballymena Library . This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a public sector body. STARTING ASAP, Working on a 2 week rota basis

Hours of work:

Week One
  • Monday: 12:30pm - 5:00pm (4.5 hours)
  • Tuesday: Off
  • Wednesday: 9:30am - 5:00pm (7 hours)
  • Thursday: 9:30am - 5:00pm (7 hours)
  • Friday: 9:30am - 5:00pm (7 hours)
  • Saturday: 9:00am - 4:00pm (6.5 hours)
Week Two
  • Monday: 9:30am - 5:00pm (7 hours)
  • Tuesday: 9:30am - 5:00pm (7 hours)
  • Wednesday: 9:30am - 5:00pm (7 hours)
  • Thursday: Off
  • Friday: 9:30am - 5:00pm (7 hours)
  • Saturday: Off
  • Standard hourly rate:
Duties include:
