Job summary

Cpl Recruitment is seeking Library Assistants for public sector roles in Northern Ireland in the Causeway Coast & Glens Area. Temporary contracts with potential extension, pay £13.63 per hour, locations including Ballymoney, Coleraine, Dungiven, Garvagh, Kilrea, Limavady, Portstewart and Portrush.

Qualifications

• Minimum five GCSE/GCE O levels at grades A*-C, including English and Maths.
• At least one year of experience providing a face-to-face service to a diverse public, including work with children and older people.
• Experience using ICT to access, select and use information.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients to make best use of services and facilities, handling enquiries and processing requests.
• Support promotional activities—school visits, story time, user education events, and other initiatives.
• Assist with shelving, tidying, and maintenance of books and resources; handle circulation procedures.
• Assist with collecting statistics and maintaining records as required.
• Contribute to high standards of service and comply with library policies.
• Provide first response to comments and complaints per the Library Services procedures.
