A local government authority in Exeter is seeking dedicated Public and Green Space operatives to maintain a clean environment through street cleansing and grounds maintenance. Ideal candidates will possess good communication skills and a positive attitude, even without prior experience as training is provided. Responsibilities include litter picking and graffiti removal, with opportunities for progression in the role. A valid UK driver's license is required, and teamwork is essential.
ECC's Public and Green Space department have various posts available within our team to undertake Street cleansing grounds maintenance works throughout the city of Exeter. Experience is useful, but not essential as training is provided for the available roles.
Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic individuals, who have a can do attitude, and a dedication to high standards. Candidates will ensure Exeter is a safe and clean environment for everyone, and be able to use good communication and interpersonal skills within their role. Knowledge of health and safety regulations is desirable.
Applicants must hold a valid UK drivers licence.
Public and Green Space operatives work as part of a wide team, and play a significant role in keeping Exeter looking good, whilst maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and visitors alike. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to, litter picking, deep clean and graffiti removal. The role offers a clear pathway for progression, and enrolment in the Local Government Pensions scheme.
Successful candidates may be expected to carry out on call and weekend duties.
